The Marmot Difference
Marmot was established in Grand Junction during the spring of 1974 as Marmot Mountain Works and is one of the few remaining "heritage" companies. Marmot produces the finest quality Apparel, Tents, Sleeping Bags and Gear for outdoor adventures and expeditions and has helped folks achieve their dreams from the top of Everest to the local State Park Campground.
While committed to their heritage, Marmot continues to push ahead with industry leading technologies:
EVODry rainwear is powered by a revolutionary DWR treatment that is permanently bonded to the yarns so that it lasts the life of the garment (that’s right, it doesn’t need to be re-treated). Solution dyed nylon yarns plus a PFC-free membrane, zippers, and DWR add a compelling sustainability story making EVODry the future of rainwear.
Warm Cube is patent pending technology utilizing 3-D cubes to keep insulation in place to prevent migration and eliminate cold spots. The channels fill with warm air to build a second layer of insulation.
Featherless performs better than 700 fill down in wet weather. Ultralight, compressible and 75% recycled, its sustainably produced materials are bluesign approved and scientifically engineered with 3M Thinsulate.
Grounded in Sustainability, Marmot requires all suppliers to adhere to a code of conduct and physically inspects factories for compliance. 36% of Marmot's volume uses recycled, upcycled and renewable materials.
